Students’ Death: Rivers FRSC Cautions Motorists On Highway Speed Limits

The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Rivers State Command has confirmed the death of five young students at Location Junction, Mgbuoba-NTA Road, in the early hours of last Saturday.
The Sector Commander, Salisu Galaduncci, who made this known when he visited the site of the incident, explained that from eyewitness, the five students were under the influence of alcohol.
He cautioned motorists and drivers on the speed limit on highway, and commiserated with the families of the deceased.
Galaduncci also expressed worry over the way parents bring up their children, and warned that parents should properly take care of their wards but not to spoil them with money.
It would be recalled that the five friends were identified as Kelvin Dark, Kayii Ndii Divine, students of University of Port Harcourt; Joy and Rejoice were 300 and 200 level English and Communication Arts students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education; and an unidentified female were all in the car.
Eyewitness account revealed that Kelvin, who was driving, reportedly had too much to drink, and consequently rammed into a parked truck in the area, which caused the fatal accident.
The corpses have now been moved to an unidentified morgue.
