RSG Commissions Rehab Centre, Today

All is now set for the commissioning, today, of the reconstructed Rehabilitation Centre, Iriebe in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, said, “The old structure was grossly inadequate for the provision of social welfare services to its defined demographic.
“Governor Nyesom Wike re-established the centre which is now comprised of an administrative building equipped with learning centres, service building with a kitchen, dining hall, laundry room and a staff building.
“It also has separate hostels for inmates: violent males, non-violent males, violent females and non-violent females, Isolation Centre, Medical Centre as well as Recreational Areas.
”This prime infrastructural development is now poised to provide psychiatric rehabilitation, social rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, repatriation of vagrant lunatics beggars and destitute in line with international best practices.
“Please, note that all Covid-19 protocols will be observed”, the statement added.
