NBC: Olumeni Warriors Emerge Champions In PH

Olumeni Warriors Basketball club of Port Harcourt have emerged champions of the maiden edition of Nalrish Basketball Classic (NBC) after they defeated Tiger 79-67 in the final game of the tournament.
 The NBC competition which started last week ended Saturday, at the basketball court, Niger/Bende Street, Old Port Harcourt township. 
Speaking with sports journalists after the final game, one of the oldest players in the Olumeni Warriors team, Victor Koko, expressed joy as they won the maiden edition of the tournament, saying that he thanks God for the victory. 
“First of all, I want to thank God because it has been God and God alone,” Koko said. 
He further explained that, he did not underrate any team in the championship, because he has one slogan that he always keeps to himself that says, take every game as a team”. 
“I am the oldest player among my teammates that play professional basketball, so I encouraged them to keep pushing, I am not saying we are the best in the tournament but I am saying we did our best to become champions” he stated.
He commended the organisers of the competition and urged them to keep it up.
