The lawmaker representing Akuku -Toru Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Isaiah Lolo Opuenye, has expressed satisfaction with the Trans- Kalahari road being constructed by Governor Nyesom  Wike.
He described the project as one of the best projects in the State and a dream come true to the entire Kalabari kingdom.
Hon. Opuenye said this in a chat with The Tide at Krakrama, shortly after the governor flagged off the road project, on Monday.
According to him, the Trans- Kalabari road project is the best gift the Governor Wike  has  given to my people, adding that the project will be remembered many years to come.
“ Today is remarkable in the history of Kalahari people, because this particular project was abandoned by previous administration, but today Governor Wike has kept his promise to the Kalahari people.
“As I speak, the Kalaharis in their usual way will reciprocate by supporting his administration to succeed. To us is a dream come true,” Hon. Opuenye said.
The lawmaker noted that the economic benefits of the road would be enormous considering the nature of their environment.
“Thank God we  have a governor who feels the pain of our people and decided to end it by flagging off this legendary project that cut-across so many communities in Kalabari kingdom
“It is not in doubt that economic benefits of the road are enormous considering the fact that we are predominantly farmers, and business activities will boom,” he stated.
