SIRS Rehabilitation Plan: Pioneer Student Hails Wike

One of the prominent pioneer students of Sports Institute of Rivers State (SIRS), Isaka, in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, Diseph Ezikwas, has commended the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, over his pledge to rehabilitate the school. 
She stated that, for the Mr Project governor to come to the aid of the institution in a bid to  improve the learning environment and infrastructure of the school after ten years of abandonment, was highly commendable. 
Ezikwas, made the commendation in a statement signed by her and made available to Tidesports yesterday, saying that the school before now was in a deplorable state. 
“ I sincerely thank governor Wike for his listening ear to the clarion calls to rehabilitate the institution. I am also excited as he pledged to partner Nigeria Maritime and Safety Agency (NIMASA in the area of human capital development,” Ezikwas said. 
The environmental geologist, equally said that if the school was restored to its   past glory, it would further discover the potentials of  youths  in various sports and to a large extend curb youth restiveness. 
She explained that the journey towards the rehabilitation of the institution was driven by genuine passion, conveyed in phases over the last five years. 
“ I am passionate to ensure that the school came back to his lost glory, I took the responsibility to gather my classmates, both those in Nigeria and in Diaspora of 1990 set, and led the Alumini first day reunion meeting, February 13th this year in Port Harcourt,” Ezikwas said. 
According to her, bringing the SIRS, Isaka Alumni (1990) set together was geared towards promoting and developing members of the set in all aspects. 
“I can say that my leadership brought about giant strides and Sustainable welfare support package for members,” she stated.
