Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt striker, Malachi Ohawume, says he is optimistic that his team will win the game against Heartland of Owerri, on Sunday,, in Week 25 of Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL).
He stated that in spite of the fact that they drew three straight games, they would be targetting maximum points,.saying  that the technical crew is still working  hard  for the club to achieve its dreams.
Ohawume said this, in an exclusive interview with Tidesports on Monday, shortly after the pride of Rivers played  one all draw against Wikki Tourists, in the match day 24 of the NPFL at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
He explained that, no player will be happy when his team was not doing well, but playing  draw in three matches is not too bad a result.
“No player will be happy when his team is not doing well but it happenes sometimes.
I cannot hold anybody responsible, you know it’s a game of football, sometimes you win, draw or you lose, God knows how every match will end, so there is nothing you can do,”Ohawume said.
Ohawume, who scored at the final minute of the additional time against Wikki Tourists, said.
“ I thanked God for everything,  I feel happy because as a striker my job is to score goals,” he added.
