Monarch Lauds Wike’s Developmental Strides
The Onwa of Etche ethnic nationality, Eze Silvanus Ogbueri, says the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has through infrastructural revolution and legacy of good governance, set a record that would be too difficult for any future Governor in the state to beat.
The royal father, who spoke to The Tide at the weekend said it was uncommon to see any administration with a massive presence in all the twenty-three local government areas of the state.
“ What is most surprising is the ease with which he executes capital intensive projects at a time when companies and governments at all levels are finding it difficult to provide their mere basic responsibilities to the people”, he said.
He described as historic and a dream come true, the construction and eventual commissioning of Umueze-Umuogba- Umuokpurukpu-Umueke-Umunju-Eberi Road in Omuma Local Government Area and commended the governor for such a rare show of love to Omuma.
The traditional ruler said the road would bring accelerated development to the area and alleviate the sufferings of the people of the area, who are predominantly farmers.
He further lauded the Rivers State Chief Executive for the way he had related with Hon. Kelechi Nwogu, member representing Omuma State Constituency in the State House of Assembly and his promise to embark on the Omuma- Owaza Road, stressing that Omuma has never had it so good as in the present administration.
Eze Ogbueri stated that because of the love expressed by the Governor, through key projects executed in the area, every other political part was dead and only PDP existed in Omuma.
“ There is no APC or any other political party in Omuma, except PDP, because it is the party with the vision and passion for the development of the state and I must tell you that Omuma has never had it so good since its creation” , he said.
