All Stars FCs Charity Tourney Set To Hold In PH

The National Chairman of AllStars Football players Club of Okrika Local Government Area, Rivers State, Tammy Loveday, has said that preparations are on top gear to host Eight All Stars Football Clubs Charity Tournament. 
He stated that the tournament was scheduled to hold first week of next month at Sharks Football Club Stadium in Port Harcourt. 
Loveday, Chairman of Dynamics AllStars Football Club of Bolo in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Tidesports, at the weekend in Okrika, shortly after their training session. 
According to him, the charity tournament is to give back to the society and to the unity, peace and love among All Stars Football Clubs in the State. 
“ Apart from physical exercise of the body, All Stars is to fraternise and bring all ex-professionals together and proffer solutions to develop football,” Loveday said. 
Speaking, the Chairman of Okochiri All Stars, Chukwuemeka Lawson, said his interest was to bring peace and unity in Okochiri Kingdom through football. 
“ I honestly love football, I started playing football at the age of six, but as you know, not everybody will use football as a career,” Lawson said. 
Also speaking, the Secretary of United AllStars of Okrika, Ene Wakama, explained that the purpose of AllStars was not just to do exercise, but organising themselves on how to encourage upcoming young footballers morally and otherwise. 
“ We are trying our best to see how we can help the upcoming footballers, financially and otherwise,” Wakama stated.
