Supporters Club Chairman Praises rufc Players

The Chairman of Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt Supporters Club, Franklin Owhor has applauded the impressive performance of the team following their victory against Rangers International FC of Enugu in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day 21 on Sunday.
He stated that he felt happy and excited for the win knowing that it will boost the morale of the team in their next away game.
Owhor, said this in a telephone interview with Tidesports saying that with the caliber of players in the team, they are expected to pick one of the continental tickets, even though they did not win the League title..
Rivers United FC defeated Enugu Rangers 0-1 on Sunday, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu state.
“Well I feel happy and excited for the victory as we are always there to give the team our moral support.
“Rivers United has good players we expect them to win the league, we thanked God for the win last Sunday.
It was the work of God, commitment of the players, the technical crew and everybody who has been supporting the team in different ways to enable the team achieved that away victory.
“The victory away from home will motivate the team more on winning other away matches Owhor”stated.
According to the number one supporters of the Pride of Rivers State, the coordinator of the club Bright Ogude, has already given out one million naira in support of the victory, adding that there are a lot of other people who are also willing to boost the morale of the players financially, including the  Governor of the State ,Chief Nyesom Wike who has promised of given them the sun of ten million naira in every away win.
He used the medium to appeal to other supporters and fans to continue supporting the team even though the League Management Committee (LMC) has not given approval for them to play their drums in the stadium.
“We will still give our moral support for the team even though we are not in the stadium to play our drums,” he said.
