Rivers  Angels Proceed On Two-Week Break

2020/2021 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL  premiership Champions, Rivers Angels  FC  have commenced on a two week break to relax with their families before  embarking on their WAFU Zone B qualiers for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champion League
General Manager of the team, Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha in a statement said after the meeting with the Honorable Commissioner for Sports, Boma Iyaye on Tuesday, he instructed that the players be given some time to spend with their families before commencing preparations for the WAFU B qualifiers.
Otuene urged the players to continue observing the Covid-19 rules and equally stay safe following the security challenges in the country.
Rivers Angels picked up their 7th League title last Sunday in Ijebu-Ode and also a slot in July’s WAFU Zonal qualifiers and a chance to represent Nigeria in the maiden edition of the CAF Champions League holding in November.
The two weeks break begins from 1 to 14 May, 2021 as normal training resumes on May 15.
