Perm Sec Lauds The Tide New Quality
The Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Lands and Survey, Sir Alozie Nwala says The Tide Newspaper has continued to soar higher inspite of the economic crunch in the country.
Nwala said this during a courtesy call on him by the management of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC) led by the General Manager, Chief Ernest Chinwo.
He said The Tide Newspaper has come a long way, especially as the paper is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
The permanent secretary said his office would continue to collaborate with the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation in the areas of printing of the ministry’s documents.
Earlier, the General Manager of the corporation, Chief Ernest Chinwo, had said that the visit was to seek greater partnership and cooperation between the ministry and the corporation.
Chinwo said the corporation has the capacity to handle all publications of the ministry.
He said The Tide has surpassed all other media organisations in terms of quality, adding that the paper has become the only surviving state-owned newspaper in the South-South and South-East.
Chinwo said the 50th anniversary of The Tide would be used to further reach out to the society.
