CAFCC: Enyimba Sure To Reach Finals – Olisema
Cyril Olisema says Enyimba can reach the final of the CAF Confederation Cup after their impressive performance against Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.
Olisema was the hero as the Aba Elephants booked their place in the quarter-final of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 1-0 win over the Buccaneers.
Enyimba had won the CAF champions league and Super Cup and winning the Confederation means the eight-time Nigerian champions will join the league of the teams to have won all CAF competitions.
Speaking with Tidesports source on Thursday, Olisema, who joined Enyimba from Akwa United, said lifting the competition remains the ultimate target for the team.
“Firstly, we are happy with the qualifications, and obviously, the target is to win the competition.
“We know that it won’t be easy, because we still have good teams left in the competition, but I believe, we stand a chance.”
“It’s the first time playing (CAF Confederation quarter-final) at this level, we couldn’t reach the last eight in my former team, but I know the qualities and the demand at Enyimba are different,” he told Tidesports source.
