RSG Closes Two Roads For 7th Flyover In PH

The Rivers State Government has commenced technical works on the newly flagged-off Nkpolu-Oroworukwo flyover project in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of the state.
The commencement of work on the 7th flyover project, has forced the partial closure of Olu Obasanjo and Ikwerre Roads to give unfettered access to workers of the construction company handling to deliver the project on schedule.
In a statement, yesterday, in Port Harcourt, the Permanent Secretary, state Ministry of Works, Mrs. Ebere Dennis-Emenike, said the partial closure of the roads would eliminate vehicular traffic on parts of both roads affected by the construction activities, and also reduce human movement around the area to enable workers concentrate on delivering the project.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that there will be closure of parts of Olu Obasanjo/Ikwerre Road Junction from Friday, April 23, 2021 for the commencement of work on the Nkpolu-Oroworukwu flyover.
“Access from Olu Obasanjo Road through Abuja Bypass onto Ikwerre Road remains open”, it added.
