Rivers Angels FC Set For Super Six Battle
Twenty nineteen/2021 League Champions, Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt has reassured its readines for the 2020/ 2021 Nigeria Women Football League premiership (NWFL) Super Six playoff scheduled to kick off today at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu -ode, Lagos State.
The Angels who are third on the league table will compete with five other clubs in a challenge. The these five teams are amongst the first six on the 2020/ 2021 NWFL league chart, alongside Rivers State.
The super six competition is expected to be used to get the two representatives to represent the country in the upcoming Maiden Edtion, WAFU B qualifier of the CAF Women’s Champions League scheduled to hold next month in Morocco.
Teams to compete in the Super Six competition includes, Bayelsa Queens FC of Yenagoa, Delta Queens FC of Delta State, Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Edo Queens FC of Benin, Robo FC of Lagos state and Sunshine Queens of Akure.
While, the remaining bottom eight clubs will battle against relegation to remain in the premiership and the last two teams will be relegated at the end of the battle.
The last eight clubs are Ibom Angels FC of Akwa Ibom, Abia Angels FC of Umuahia, Confluence Queens of Kogi, Pelican Stars FC of Calabar, DreamStars Ladies of Lagos, Osun Babes FC of Oshogbo, Nasarawa Amazon FC, and Royal Queens FC.
