Rivers Angels FC Emerges 2020/2021 NWFL Champions

Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, yesterday proved their supremacy once again, as they defeated Sunshine Queens of Akure  4-0 in the finals of the  2020/2021 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Super Six play off decided at the  Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode  to emerge  Champions of the season and got the ticket to Represent the country in the WAFU  Cup qualifier of the maiden  CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco next Month
The match which saw Rivers Angels recording the first goal in the second minute of the first half had the Jewels of Rivers put in their best to ensure a total victory for themselves.
The round Robin competition which kicked off April 19 had the Angels drew two matches and won two to lead the league and emerged winners eventually.
It would be recalled that Rivers Angels FC  drew their first match with FC Robo which ended 1-1, played 0-0 with Delta Queens, defeated Bayelsa Queens 4-0, and beat Edo Queens 4-0 to get to the finals of the competition.
It would be recalled that Rivers Angels FC was the 2019/2020 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Champions.
