Ozalla Moughalu Super Cup Kicks Off, Sunday
As the kick-off date for the much awaited Ozalla Muo-ghalu Super football cup competition draws nearer, reports have it that the four qualified teams, Solid Foundation, United Friends, Sunrise and Golden Boys FC, have intensified their build up in readiness for the Easter soccer show piece.
Tidesports, who has been keeping close tab on the level of preparations so far, equally revealed that both the players and their teeming supporters have started talking tough on how to outwit each other when the game gets underway at Ezeokpu Mini Stadium, Ichida in Anaocha Local Government Area in Anambra State, this weekend.
The cup donor and sponsor of the competition, High Chief Lord Mike Ezedimora in chat with sports writers emphatically stated that he is putting every necessary thing in place to ensure a hitch-free competition.
“Believe me, this year’s Easter edition of Ozalla Muoghalu Super Cup would be grand, having expressed regret over the inability to host the competition last year, due to the outbreak of Corona virus pandemic that enveloped the whole world, stopping all sporting activities.
“Honestly, notable personalities and reputable firms namely, HRM Charles Ezeudogu-Igwe of Ichida, Chief Tochukwu Nzekwe-Ezeani Omenife Ichida, Vincent Nwokeji-Ofia Anawara ego n’ ukpor, Sir Ndubeueze Ezeani-Emperor Nwatanayoeze Ezinifite, Chief Ogochukwu Anaedo, Nestello Gateway group, Evans Industries Ltd, Ekwulu Group Company, Lyold Pharmacy, among others have assured to grace the event which promises to be fascinating and exciting.
The Ugonabo Ichida however, enjoined other lovers of grassroots football to equally avail themselves the opportunity to be in attendance to see the best of soccer artistry on display.
It would be recalled that All Stars Football Club of Onitsha was the Champion of 2019 edition of the tournament.
