Ondo FA Inaugurates Nine Sub-Committees To Dev Football

The Ondo State Football Association, yesterday in Akure, inaugurated nine sub-committees to develop football in the state.
Tidesports source gathered that the sub-committees are: Technical Committee for Age Grade, Status Review Committee, Security, Organising Committee for other competitions, Disciplinary Committee.
Others are Appeal Committee, Referees Appointment Commitment, Marketing/Sponsorship Committee and Consultants.
Inaugurating the committees, a member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, said the constitution of the sub-committees was in tune with the statutes of the NFF.
Fresh said he was happy that the State FA Chairman, Mr Dele Ajayi, had brought everyone on board from the last election and expressed optimism that the FA would be successful.
According to him, a divided house will not last.
Fresh further urged the members of Sports Writers Association in the state to always point the right direction for the FA whenever they were going astray.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Ondo FA, Mr Dele Ajayi, said that with the inauguration of the committees, the state would have more football competitions organised in the state.
Ajayi said the state FA would find solutions to the problem of Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens, and urged the state government to carry the association along.
“We are ready to collaborate with people with ideas and personnel from people that can take Ondo State to enviable heights.
“We thank the governor of the state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for the huge amount he has released for the state-owned teams so far,’’
Ajayi later thanked the NFF board members, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh and Alhaji Mohammed Alkali for gracing the occasion.
Alkali, who is the Chairman of the Nassarawa FA, said that the NFF was happy with the election of Dele Ajayi as the chairman of the FA in the state.
