NRFL: Coach Calls For Fair, Balanced Officiating
Jigawa Golden Stars Coach, Gilbert Opana has called for a fair and balanced officiating ahead of the business end of the league which is the second stanza citing a few incidents towards the end of the first stanza as scenarios that should be avoided.
Speaking in a chat with Tidesports source Opana also add that it is very important that some teams note that winning can be gotten anywhere without having to do everything to force the hand of the referees in their home fixtures.
“Towards the end of the first round, we saw how penalties are just been given randomly. In a particular week, we saw about 8 penalties being played I think we need to check that so that we don’t make a mockery of the game. It shouldn’t be that the team at home must always win,” Opana said.
