NBBF Will Not Beg Any Player – Kida
President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Engr Musa Kida, has stated that the Nigeria Basketball Federation will not beg any player to consider featuring for Nigeria amidst call for the Federation to convince NBA drafts of Nigerian descent, to convince such players to take up the choice of representing Nigeria.
Kida, speaking in a chat moniorted by Tidesports source, said while the Federation remained open to the choice of inviting the best playing Nigerian players at any given time, the NBBF will leave such decision to choose to play for Nigeria, to the players, who have all at some point identified with Nigeria one way or the other.
“They’re on our radar, they are in constant contact with the technical team, which is in charge of contact with players. For us, they have proudly waved the Nigerian flag but we know that to play or not will be their personal decision.”
