LG Boss Lauds Electorate On Peaceful Election
The Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Victor Ifeanyichukwu Odili, has commended the people of the LGA for reposing confidence in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by exercising their franchise peacefully.
The Chairman who doubles as the Campaign Director-General of the PDP chairmanship election in the local government area gave the commendation last Saturday in Ndoni Community, his home town while speaking with journalists shortly after casting his vote in Ward 14, Unit (5).
Odili said the council was the stronghold of the party, noting that no other party save for the PDP has the capacity to win polls in the area.
He restated that following the antecedent of the party and its candidates for the polls, victory was sure for the party even in future elections.
He noted that the PDP was the only party which has kept the secret of winning elections in the state, saying, the oppositions in the council area do not have the machinery to win any election.
The Tide which also spoke with the PDP councillorship candidate for Ward 5, Unit 16 of the LGA, Author Azubuike Uzor reports that he promised amongst other things to declare emergency in education in the ward when elected and sworn-in as councillor.
Uzor maintained that the PDP has done well in all ramifications in the council, thanking Governor Nyesom Wike for his developmental strides, which he noted have endeared many to the party.
The Tide further learnt that the PDP Chairmanship candidate of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Hon. Job Vincent has been declared winner Sunday,by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), polling 52,484 votes.
