CAF Women Champions League: Club Owners Choose Rivers Angels

Following the decision of the Nigeria women Football League NWFL, Club Owners/Managers virtual meeting via video conference held 9th  and 10th April, 2021. Rivers Angels FC has been picked to represent Nigeria at the forthcoming CAF Women Champions League scheduled to kick off May  this year.
The Marathon virtual meeting of NWFL Clubs Chairmen, which was necessary after a decision was taken by the League Board to abruptly end the 2021 NWFL Premiership season, had the Club Owners arrive at the following decisions after their meeting;
In view of the approval of CAF to commence the CAF Women Champions League this year, the 2019 NWFL premiership winners, the communiqué had it that,  Rivers Angels are to represent Nigeria, While, the winners of the current League season represent the country in the subsequent edition.
The Meeting affirmed that the 2021 NWFL Premiership season should not be halted; the season should continue from week 14.
That no team shall be relegated from the NWFL Premiership season, and, that, two clubs should be promoted from the NWFL Championship to  complement/complete/restore the initial teams in the Premiership.
The clubs, requested a physical AGM to be conveyed by the NWFL Board to address some certain issues concerning the league.
Poor officiating and manipulation of matches during the first round of the 2021 NWFL Premiership season,was also, lamented at the meeting and, thereby, suggested that following measures should be taken as a step forward to curtail future occurrence:
The Club owners frowned and kicked against the proposed Super 6 and Relegation Playoffs.
