The Ungrateful Wife

In the time past, there lived a farmer in ancient orlu kingdom. He was ugly and hard working, his name was Akpere. People in the entire kingdom knew him as Akpere the rich ugly farmer. He fell in love with a lady named Erimma and later got married to her after a period of dating. Erimma was a popular and desirable bride in her community and her beauty made her to be arrogant. She also loved money so much and only accepted to marry Apkere because of his wealth and not for love. She was never proud of her husband and hated to walk along with him because of his ugliness. One day as they were going to the farm, They got to a river filled with crocodiles . But the beautiful woman was walking sluggishly behind her husband. The husband walked across the bridge safely but Erimma got frightened at the middle of the bridge. She stumbled with fear but her shaky hand cut a the bend of the bridge and prevented her from falling into the river. She shouted for help but her husband ignored her pleas until she pleaded to be humble and to love her husband. The husband caught up with her and saved her from been meal for the crocodiles.
