Rivers United’s Captain Reiterates Team’s Commitment To Win NPFL

The captain of Rivers United FC Port Harcourt, Festus Austin, has reiterated that his team is still in contention to win the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL) this season.
According to him, his players are focused and determined to lift the NPFL, adding that the only challenge the team is facing is the inability to convert chances, but the technical crew is working on that department.
Austin, made the assertion in a telephone interview with Tidesports, yesterday, saying that the club has the potentials to win trophies this aeason following the crop of players the club has.
“ As I speak to you, I still believe that we will win the League, we have players that can deliver, besides, the sponsor of the club is doing everything possible for the players not to lack anything.
I think the team needs more winnings and to score goals to make things easier forhips. The technical manager is doing a lot to improve on goal scoring ability,” Austin said.
The skipper explained the ups and downs, the players are still optimistic to make the people of the state happy, saying in any sports there are tough times.
He used the opportunity to call on the players to be more committed to achieve the target they have set for themselves this season.
