NWFL: Edo Queens FC Suspends Head Coach
The Management of Edo Queens FC has suspended the team’s head coach, Mr Rollanson Odeh, with immediate effect, and for undisclosed reasons.
Tidesports source gathered that Odeh’s suspension was announced in a statement, on Wednesday evening, signed by the team’s Media Officer, Ogieva Ehiosun.
In the statement, the management did not give any reasons for the suspension, other than to allow for investigation into some administrative and technical matters.
Ehiosun, however, said assistant coaches, Helen Ibrahim and Gladys Nwagbara will hold forth in Odeh’s absence, to be supported by coach Stanley Osaze of Bendel Insurance FC Feeder Team, pending the conclusion of the investigation.
It would be recalled that Edo Queens FC, on Wednesday, in Agbor, Delta State, lost by a lone goal in their week 8 match against the Delta Queens FC,
The team currently has 14 points in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), from the eight matches it had played so far in the 2020/2021 season.
