Kuejubola Tasks nff On Late Larry Eze’s Burial
Renowned women football developer, Elder Eddington Najite Kuejubola, has tasked the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) to take active part in the up coming burial of late women football guru, Prince Larry Eze.
Kuejubola stated this yesterday, during a radio interview with Metro FM 97. 7 and monitored by Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
Kuejubola, who was proprietor of the all conquering Ufuoma Babes FC of Warri said the NFF had been too passive since the death of the former boss of Rivers Angels Sports Club of Port Harcourt.
According to him, Prince Larry Eze was one of the pioneers of women football and was amongst those who visited the then Nigeria Football Association (NFA) Board in Lagos in the year, 1988 to advise them to start women football Nigeria.
“ Larry Eze was one of those who floated women football in the country and even Africa as a whole, he had done so much, not only for women football, but also for the male football. He deserved to be honoured ,” Kuejubola said.
“It’s so sad that he was not even given an award for his developmental strides towards football in the country. We should learn to honour our hero’s when they are still with us. The burial has been fixed for 30th of next Month, the NFF, should please, do well to participate actively in the burial ceremony,”
“Honestly, l feel sad because, that is how the government and the NFF is going to treat me too, this is not good. He deserves a befitting burial, at least,” Kuejubola added
Kuejubola, who was ex- Chairman of Delta Football Association and former board member of Delta Sports Commission, said that Larry Eze played an active role in women’s football development in Nigeria and Africa hence the NFF should be alive to her responsibility ahead of his burial next month.
