Enyimba Shifts Focus To Orlando Pirates
Coach of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Enyimba FC, Fatai Osho, has expressed delight in the People’s Elephants’ winning start to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, following Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Libya’s Al-Ahly Benghazi.
Osho, speaking in a chat with Tidesports source after the game, said it was very important to win the first game in the group because of its effects on the players’ confidence and belief, which will be up and better now and it will also help out the team to remain in shape ahead of their next trip to South Africa, where they square up against Orlando Pirates.
“Yea it’s a good one for us, it’s always good to start on a high in any competition and for us to have gotten this win, it will really help the confidence of the players, the self-belief will come in,” Osho said.
“It will really also help us, going to South Africa next week, to play against Orlando Pirates. And it’s quite important we start very well. And nothing would have been better than getting the maximum points. With due respect to other teams, we have to take it one game at a time.”
