Man, 32, Charged With Sale Of 400g Hemp
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) yesterday charged a 32-year-old man, Sunday Oludele, with peddling 400g of hemp.
Oludele is facing a count charge of drug trafficking before a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The suit marked FHC/L/5c/2021 is before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo.
The defendant would be arraigned on March 24.
The prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, alleged in suit that the defendant committed the offence on December 7, 2020.
He said that Oludele was arrested at Oshodi in Lagos while unlawfully dealing in hemp.
According to the prosecutor, hemp, like cocaine and heroine, is listed in the NDLEA schedule as prohibited.
Aernan said that drug trafficking contravened the provisions of Sections 11(c) of the NDLEA Act, 2004.
