Go Round FC Struggles To Get Draw …Misses N.5m
Go Round FC of Omoku,on Saturday struggled at home to get one all draw, as their energetic visitors Osun United saw back of the net five minute into the game.
United’s Dennis Meshack capitalised on the blunders committed by both the defender and goalkeeper to get the lead until Go Round FC striker; Victor Wohuruche got the equaliser at 82th minute.
The encounter was one of the Nigeria National League (NNL) openers played across Nigeria at different venues.
Speaking with sports journalists shortly after the game, coach of Go Round FC, Abiye Tamuno Iyalla, said the game was good even though his players were struggling in stanza of the game.
He noted that the goal they conceded was a mistake caused by his defenders, saying that the technical crew will go back to correct the grey areas in the team.
“The game was good and our opponents were at advantage in the first half, while we were struggling” Tamuno Iyalla said.
He expressed optimism that they were going to win their next home game to enable them be in contention.
“Our hope is to gain promotion and by the grace of God we are going to win, nothing will stop us,” he stated.
Also speaking, the coach of Osun United, ex Nigeria International, Bright Omokaro, confirmed that the game was a good one, saying that both teams played standard game.
