Austin Oladapo reflected on a ‘good’ Enyimba performance after beating Kano Pillars 2-1 victory in one of the NPFL match-day five fixtures.
Oladapo said he’s deligh-ted that the team bounced back from the mid-week defeat to Heartland FC with a goal each from Anayo Iwuala and Gabriel Orok.
Speaking to brila.net in his post-match press confe-rence, the Enyimba Captain highlighted how important it was to return to winning ways after the setback.
“It is very important for us having lost to Heartland in mid-week but with victory over Pillars, we are happy and it is a very big motiva-tion for us ahead of the next game with Kwara United.”
The eight-time Nigerian champions are yet to hit top gear this season and have experienced some difficul-ties.
Oladapo said the team is still in the middle of a new long-term project and asked people to give them more time.
“Well it is to be a gradual process; the league just started and we only lost only a match so far.
“I know the Champions League elimination made it look like we are not doing well, but for me, I think the team is still in process and by the time we hit form, no team will be able to stop us,”  he concluded.
