Lobi Stars’ Performance Against MFM Excites Team’s Skipper

Lobi Stars captain, Ebube Duru, says he is satisfied with his contributions to the team’s first league win of the season.
A lone goal scored by Ossy Martins was enough to secure victory for Lobi Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi on Sunday.
Martins netted the solitary goal in the 71st minute following a good work from Duru through the left flank.
The defender’s pinpoint cross found the waiting head of Martins, who guided the ball into the back of the net for the only goal of the game.
Speaking exclusively to Tidesports source after the match, Duru said Lobi Stars deserved the win, and he’s also proud of his contributions to the success.
“I’m so happy and proud starting the season with an assist that gave us the victory, and as the captain of the team, it’s always good to contribute to the success of the team.”
