Rivers Monarch Weds Lawyer
The Amanyanabo (King) of Amadi-Ama Community/Kingdom, Trans-Amadi in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State, Sir (Dr) Bright Josiah Koko (JP), Amalolia III has wedded in a traditional marriage ceremony, Barr Chioma Priscilla N. Eleba of Ihiwkwu/Umu-Isoma in Ogba/Egbema /Ndoni Local Government Area of the state, at the Senior Civil Servant Estate (Senate Estate), Amadi-Ama along Abuloma Road, Port Harcourt, last Saturday.
The marriage which was opened with a short prayer by Pastor Ola, which threw the kingdom and other communities into a festive atmosphere, attracted dignitaries in the persons of Amanyanabo (King) of Fimie Kingdom, Trans-Amadi in the Port Harcourt Local Government Area of the state, HRH, Chief (Dr) Bernard Richard Fimie-Koko, Amadi Kingdom Chiefs council, Chairman, Amadi-Ama Community, Elder Steve A. Fimibama (ACGI), oldest man in the entire Kingdom. Wariopusenibo, Elder Pius I.R. Tubobereni and elders of Ihiwku/Umu-Isoma Community, parents of the bride, Arch and Mrs Godpower N Elecba inclusive.
The marriage ceremony which kicked-off at about 4pm transmuted into a showbiz as colourful parade of beautiful damsels twisted their big waists to the melodious ceremonial highlife song of Flavour and the evergreen music of Cardinal Jim Rex Lawson.
In the midst of this, the bride stole the show when she danced to the ceremonial arena escorted by the damsels in full glare of V.I.Ps and other attendees. The couple dance brought the ovation to the loudest as people joined them in dancing.
Earlier, the father of the bride, Arch Godpower N. Eleba has admonished the couple to live in peace with the fear of God even as he wished them happy married life.
