Police Begin Training For Special Constables At Nonwa

The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the general public, particularly candidates who applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Special Constabularies to check their names at the Police Headquarters, Moscow Road on Thursday, 3rd December, 2020 as names of the 1st Batch of candidates have been shortlisted for training.
A statement by the state police spokesperson, SP Nnamdi Omoni, in Port Harcourt, indicated that candidates shortlisted are expected to proceed immediately to the Police Training School (PTS), Nonwa for eight weeks training programme, which commenced on Monday, November 30, 2020.
Shortlisted candidates are to report to the Commandant on arrival with the following training kits: a pair of white canvas and stockings; a pair of black canvas and stockings; one bucket; one broom; one cutlass; lantern; and writing materials.
The Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, further wishes to inform the public that the names shortlisted represent the 1st Batch as other batches will follow in due course accordingly, while wishing the successful candidates the very best of the exercise and warning them to maintain high level of discipline during the exercise and avoid acts capable of compromising the good intentions of the Inspector-General of Police in his drive to entrench community policing for peaceful and secured environment.
