Etche Youths Protest Rising Kidnapping

The people of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, appear not to be relenting on the quest for drawing the attention of government at all levels and their agencies to the deplorable state of their major road which is linking Port Harcourt and neighbouring states.
This time, a group of Concerned Youths of Etche, staged a peaceful protest in major streets of the area. The protesters, who were led by Forum Fred, complained that hoodlums now take advantage of the bad state of the road to carry out their activities, which he said, was dangerous for the road users.
Fred threatened that after a 14 day ultimatum, they will be left with no other option than to take to the streets.
Some other youths, Nicholas Iwuji and Solomon Osinanwata-Nweke, who also spoke to newsmen, criticised some individuals led by some politicians for attempting to disrupt the protest, stressing that Etche people could not access Port Harcourt because of the state of the road, and called for an urgent intervention.
