Rivers United’sWin Brings Back Confidence – Eguma
The technical manager of Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt, Stanley Eguma, has said that a win in competition will bring back confidence in the team.
He stated that Governor Wike pre-season tournament is to prepare his team for the new season of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and the continental tournament.
Eguma stated this on Monday, shortly after his team defeated Ottasolo Football Club of Lagos 1-0, at the ongoing Governor Wike Preseason Soccer Tournament holding in Port Harcourt.
He explained that the aim of the competition is to build a team and not all about winning.
“We are building a team and correct our grey areas. At the end of the day we can get good players from the tournament,” Eguma said.
