Coach Bishir Sadauki has praised Katsina United’s performance against Niger Tornadoes at the ongoing Governor Masari pre-season tournament.
The Changi Boys defeated the Niger State-based team 1 – 0 at the Mohammodu Dikko Stadium, thanks to a goal scored by Mustapha Mohammed.
Coach Sadauki said he’s happy with the performance and he’s upbeat about the potential the Changi Boys have in their ranks.
“I am very happy to have won the first match. When you start a tournament on a good note, it gives you the needed relief,” he said.
The coach also admitted that his boys still need to improve in other areas before they can be ready for the season.
“Sometimes it is not about the coach or the players but the instruction. We hope to work on the mental state of the players and continue to improve ahead of subsequent games.
“Overall I felt everybody worked extremely hard and they didn’t drop their heads. I see a lot of positives, we can build on this, we can be better,” he said.
Bishir Sadauki was recently appointed as the replacement for Henry Makinwa who agreed to end his contract with the club.
Sadauki has worked with the Changi boys for over a decade before he was given his chance to manage the club.
