The Tide Staff Emerges College’s PTA Chairperson
A staff of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Comrade Joy Tonye has emerged the new chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Faith Baptist College, Port Harcourt.
Speaking shortly after taking over from the former executive of the association, Comrade Tonye said the new executive would improve upon the achievements of the out-gone executives.
She particularly said that her executive would liaise with the school authorities with a view to sorting out those areas that need urgent attention.
While stressing that her executive will not fail the college, she advised the students to be law- abiding at all times.
Meanwhile, the Principal of Faith Baptist College, Port Harcourt, Mr Charles Akah has advised the new executive members of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) to improve upon what its predecessors had done.
He said despite the enormous achievements recorded by the out-gone executive there were still areas for improvements.
Akah also advised them to develop team spirit by cooperating with each other to ensure better performances.
He particularly commended the out-gone executive for its peoples-oriented programmes which according to him have added value to the school.
“They bought new laptops for the school, they also cooperated with management to organise inter-house-sports “he said.
The out-gone chairperson, Mrs. Elikwuat Nkechi said the out-gone executive had achieved a lot for the college.
