The Ikwerre Local Government Chief Security Officer (CSO), Samuel Obuenye, has described the council as the most peaceful local government area in Rivers State.
Samuel gave credit to the Executive Chairman, Ikwerre Local Government Council, Hon. (Engr) Samuel Nwanosike.
The KELGA chief security officer said the first step the chairman took to calm the situation was establishment of OSPAC.
Obuenye  said the creation of local vigilante by the council chairman had restored peace and order in all nooks and crannies of the local government area which according to him is the greatest joy of his people.
The  CSO said the calmness as witnessed in various Ikwerre communities had created room for development.
He declared that with that milestone, the Executive Chairman of the local government council, deserved second tenure if he wished; and noted that anyone opposed to it should be seen as the enemy of Ikwerre people.
He declared that despite the Inspector-General of Police’s directive on local vigilantes, OSPAC had come to stay and called on the Inspector General of Police to have a rethink as his pronouncement had affected their operations.
