Cleric Tasks Youths On Peace, Security

Youths in Rivers State have been advised to shun violence, social vices and making themselves instrument to disrupting the peace in the state.
Senior Pastor of Reformer Exploit Ministry, Pastor Wealth Solomon gave the admonition at a programme to mark this year’s Youth Week in the church.
Wealth admonished the youths not to be part of the ongoing protest, looting and destruction by youths across the county.
He said currently, the state had been enjoying peace due to the commitment of the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike to ensure security of lives and property of the people in the state.
Also, the President of the youths, Mr. Levi Odemero, enjoined the youths not to allow themselves to be used to destroy the nation’s common heritage.
Mr. Odemero also implored the youth to opt for constructive engagement to see to a better society for all to be proud of.
“We have enjoyed relative peace not only in Port Harcourt but across the state since the assumption of office of our Executive Governor, Nyesom Wike.
I am appealing to the youth across the country to sheathe their sword as the government is not sleeping over their demands,” said Odemero.
