Ex-Deputy Gov, Alamieyeseigha’s Kinsman Win APC Senatorial Primaries

The Duo of former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Peremobowei Ebebi and younger cousin to the late former Governor of the state, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha, Chief Abel Ebifemowei at the weekend won senatorial tickets of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the October 31 bye-election for the state’s Western and Central Senatorial seats, respectively.
The Tide source reports that the election which was conducted via direct primary took place at various units and wards headquarters of the state.
Declaring the results at the party’s secretariat, Yenagoa, the chairman of the APC for the Bayelsa Central and Western Senatorial Primary Elections, Gen. Abdulsalam Dahiru (rtd) stated that in the Western Senatorial district, Peremobowei Ebebi polled a total of 10,450 votes to emerge winner while in the Central Senatorial Primary, Abel Ebifemowei polled a total 24, 450 votes to be declared winner.
In their various acceptance speeches, Peremobowei Ebebi and Abel Ebifemowei thanked party faithfuls for coming out enmass to vote them as the party’s candidates in the forthcoming Senatorial elections.
They expressed profound gratitude to the leader of the party in the State and Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva and other party leaders for ensuring that the primaries were conducted peacefully.
The senatorial standard bearers assured that they will strive within their limits in ensuring that the party wins in the bye-elections.
They urged other contenders to close ranks with them to secure victory for the party, calling on them to show sportsmanship in the interest of the party.
