The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has condemned the incessant kidnapping and killings of Nigerians by unknown bandits, and urged the Federal Government and relevant security agencies to up their games in protecting lives and properties of Nigerians.
The Chairman, Board Of Trustee, NYCN, Dr Dickson Akoh, said this during a meeting convened  for the purpose of proffering lasting solution to the lingering crisis of National Youth Council of Nigeria.
While commending President Muhammadu Buhari, for approving N75billion National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) and the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare, for facilitating same, he encouraged Nigerians, especially the youths to adhere strictly to all government laid down protocols to contain Covid-19 and free the country of the pandemic.
According to him, the meeting was an opportunity for the leaders of the council to meet with aggrieved parties for possible resolution of all lingering crisis and reconciliation regarding the council.
He, however, maintained that, there is no legally recognised National Executive Council (NEC) for the council at the moment until a non-elective congress is held in line with Article 10(10.1) of the Constitution of the                 Youth Council.
