Speaking to The Tide last Wednesday, (August 12, 2020), during the annual August 12 celebration of the International Youth Day, the Executive Director, YEAC, Comrade Fyneface Dumnamene Fyneface stated that when issues concerning youths are given pride of place, they turned out to be good Future leaders.
Fyneface, who is also an Environmental Justice Activist, Human Rights Defender noted that yearly the World Marks International Youth Day, yet Nigeria youths have no pride of place.
He explained further that this year has the theme: “Youth Engagement for Global Action”, adding that YEAC wants the government at all levels in the country to prioritize youth issues as they are regarded as leaders of tomorrow.
Comrade Fyneface stressed that  viewing youth contributions from global perspectives indicate that their contributions and global actions are already contributing to local, community, state, national and international developments, especially during this era of COVID-19 pandemic which they are at the forefront creating awareness and sensitizing the people in Nigeria and around the world on how best to stay safe to stop further spread of the pandemic.
