Chidi Lloyd, Big Asset To PDP-Awuse

An elder statesman and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Rivers State, Chief Sergeant Awuse, has described former Majority Leader in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Dr Chidi Lloyd as a grassroots politician and a big asset to PDP in the state.
Awuse stated this during the defection of Lloyd to PDP at Government House, Port Harcourt.
He said: “ Dr Chidi Lloyd is a very big asset to us in PDP and Rivers State. Chidi Lloyd is a grassroots politician and we need him in our fold”.
The PDP leader noted that though the party had been recording victory in Emohua Local Government Area in the past but with the return of the former state lawmaker to the PDP fold, there would be greater delivery.
Lloyd, a top member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while defecting to the ruling PDP had pleaded for forgiveness over his role in the violence that engulfed the state House of Assembly during Rotimi Amaechi administration and promised unalloyed loyalty to PDP .
Awuse commended Governor Wike for his forgiving spirit  which he has continued to demonstrate since he declared his olive branch to the opposition parties  and urged all to join hands with his administration to build the state.
He noted that the good government of Governor Nyesom Wike which ensured the spread of projects across the twenty three local government areas in the state had continued to attract more people back to the party.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Wike for the projects executed in Emohua  Local Government Area  and assured that the people of the area would continue to give him strong support in reciprocating his love to Emohua people.
