Kogi United’s Players Support Cancellation Of NNL Season
Kogi united player, Victor Tale, has stated that he will support the management of the Nigeria National League’s declaring the NNL season null and void after the league suffered what would have been a reprieve with fresh postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, which by extension also mean uncertainty as to when football will be back.
Speaking in a chat with Tidesports source, Tale said the NNL issue has dragged for so long as the league has been unable to resume since playing match day 5 round of games towards the end of December 2019 and added that starting the league afresh without promotion or relegation in the second tier will be the best way to plan for a new season ahead.
“Talking about the NNL, it’s something that we the players are trying to look into, of course, it’s been long that we play this game, this NNL issue. What I’m expecting from the management of the league is to start afresh again because we cannot meet up.”
