Easter: Be Harbingers Of Love, Ebeku Charges Christians
The Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Prof Kaniye Ebeku, has admonished Christians to be harbingers of love always, especially as they reflect on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ during this Easter season.
Speaking on the significance of Easter to Christians, Kaniye said it was pertinent to reflect on the price Jesus Christ paid on the Cross of Calvary for our sins so that we may be free from the penalties of death.
Kaniye quoted John 3:16 where God demonstrated His love for mankind, by giving His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, and reminded Christians that God was love, and urged them to imbibe the spirit of love, as Christ loves the church.
He commended Governor Nyesom Wike for thoroughly implementing the restrictions announced for the containment of the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Rivers State, and praised his palliative measures as people-oriented.
Kaniye also prayed for the health and growth of Rivers State and its people, and charged religious leaders to pray to God for the total healing of the world, especially the land of Rivers State, from the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) currently ravaging the world.
According to him, “God will hear from Heaven and heal our land, and no one can share His Glory with Him”.
