Arsenal Expresses Interest In Disasi
Arsenal has reportedly expressed interest in signing Rein’s central defender, Axel Disasi.
According to the Tidesports source, the Gunners are willing to offer the French-born defender of Democratic Republic of Congo descent a five-year-contract.
Disasi, who is valued at £15 million, is contracted to French Ligue 1 club Reims until June 2021. Subsequently, the club could be forced into selling the 22-year-old at the end of the 2019-20 season or run the risk of losing him on a free transfer.
Born in Gonesse, Disasi came through the ranks at Paris FC before moving to Reims in 2016.
Disasi has scored one goal in 32 appearances for Reims in the current campaign and has played an integral role for a club who boasts one of the meanest defences in European football this season.
Reims has conceded the least amount of goals in French Ligue 1, letting in just 21 goals in 28 league matches. Only Real Madrid has a better defensive record in Europe’s top five leagues.
