Netflix Lists Kemi Adetiba Among 55 Ground Breaking Women In Entertainment

These are indeed beautiful times for Nigerian women in entertainment as some of their own were recently recognised by American company, Netflix.
The media services provider and production company in partnership with United Nation’s women is set to launch a special collection titled, “Because she Watched”curated by ground breaking women in politics from around the world.
Top Nigerian film maker, Kemi Adetiba made it to the list.She is the only director from Nigeria with a fully Nigerian production who is honoured on this list alongside Genevieve Nnaji whose ‘Lion Heart’ is also listed on the 50 projects being celebrated this International Women’s Day in Netflix.
Women’s day whose official theme this year is,” I am generation equality :Realising women’s Rights”. The collection celebrates the stories that have inspired women around the world.
This comes weeks after the beautiful and talented film maker celebrated her 40th birthday on January 8, 2020.The film maker and movie director celebrated her birthday with a simple photo on her Instagram page with No 40 captioned on the photo to celebrate the special day .
In her caption, the movie director revealed how she feels about her success so far, noting that she has no regrets.
