AMVCA Participants Exposed To Coronavirus – Lagos

Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said yesterday that participants at the recently held Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award have been exposed to a confirmed case of coronavirus.
The AMVCA 7 was held on March 14 at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Abayomi, who stated this in a string of tweets, advised all attendees to observe strict self-isolation.
Of the 42 recorded COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, 29 are in Lagos, as of the time of filing this report.
I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on14th March at @EkoHotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to Prof. Akin Abayomi
Attendees at the said event are therefore advised to: observe strict self- isolation.

Lagos confirms 4 additional cases between yesterday evening, 23rd March and today 24th March, 2020. The total confirmed cases in Lagos as at 1.10pm today 24th March, 2020 is 29 by practicing.
