Tennis President Wants Deployment Of Coaches

The President of All Stars Tennis of Port Harcourt, Minanyo Igani has called on the authorities concerned to redeploy coaches at the Rivers State Sports Council to rural areas with the aim to discover hidden talents.
He stated that there is need to refocus the attention of coaches and stakeholders to grassroot sports development, in the state, to enable the state have abundant talents.
Igani, made the call in an exclusive interview with Tidesports at the weekend, in Port Harcourt.
“Government and stakeholders should please refocus its attention to grassroot sports development, most especially tennis.
What I am saying here is that let the authorities concerned redeploy coaches to rural areas and other places that need coaches. Most of the caches at the sports council are redundant” Igani said.
