Don Lauds Sancta Maria Old Boys
Old Boys Association has been enjoined to uphold the tenets of their Alma-mater ‘Service for Humanity’ in their various life endeavour.
Professor K.E. Orji stated this when Sancta Maria High School, Omoku Old Boys Care-Taker Committee led by its chairman, Mr. Jacob Miniku, paid him a courtesy call in his office at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni. Port Harcourt recently.
He commended the Care-Taker Committee of the Association on its assignment of sensitizing the old Boys in the state for a progressive minded way forward.
Orji, a Professor of History and Diplomacy at the university noted that the alma-mater popularly called samahisco varsity’ Omoku had come of age with notable sons in various field of human endeavour, hence urged the group to keep to the constitutional provisions of the Association and to do much better in 2020 and beyond in the areas of development of members through various empowerment programmes.
Also speaking, another Old Boy, Associate Professor E.C. Ibara lauded the committee for taking bold steps in upholding the tenets of Sancta Maria High School Old Boys Association leadership Vision and Mission statement.
Ibara, an Acting Director, Centre for Contouring Education IAUOE, and a front-liner of the Old Boys Association, promised to support the parent body to reclaim its right of place in societal schema of things.
Earlier in his speech, Chairman of the group, Mr. Jacob Miniku had recalled the remarkable achievements of the Association under the leadership of Engr. George Okoroma and Elder Ojas Ellah who had served for over sixteen years.
Miniku said that “The Association now wishes to go for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election to hand over power soon”.
