National Chairman of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima, has said that the deregistration of political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) cannot discourage experienced politicians like him from partisan politics.
The ACPN leader said that as a veteran politician with over 30 years experience in partisan politics in the country, the action of the electoral umpire, must not determine his political future.
Galadima, told our source yesterday that they (deregistered political parties) had charged the matter to court and were hopeful that there would be favourable judgment, but said however, even if the judgement of the court was not favourable, he would still be very active politically.
“We have done what we should do as law abiding citizens by going to court. Nobody can predict the minds of the judges. If the judgment is positive, it will be fine, and if it is in the contrary, some of us who are veterans in politics would still be very active” he said.
The ACPN national chairman maintained that he had over 30 years experience in partisan politics in the country, having been a member of the National Executive Council (NEC) of All Nigeria Peoles Party (ANPP) and also played very active roles in other political parties before joining hands with some credible politicians to form ACPN.
